eco bike coffee brand identity book

working together with creative designer & artist wai santy, i helped develop a fulfilling brand identity for bali-based coffee brand called "eco. bike. coffee." with this project, i communicated closely with our client to ensure that i understood their intentions perfectly, refining their brand vision to ensure that eco. bike. coffee.'s story could be properly communicated to customers, business owners, and any that were interested in learning more about the initiative. i was also responsible for authoring the brand book's commentary.

caught in the rhythm: deconstructing south korean
masculinity through male kpop artists

a project from spring 2018, for my "queer popular music" course at the NYU tisch clive davis school of recorded music. after being a long time fan of the genre, and knowing the value of image as representation in k-pop, I wanted to pursue a project that considered the limits of being so confined to gender expectations, in the way that k-pop currently functions.

who i am

Born in the Philippines and raised in an odd mix of Bangladesh, Vietnam, Cambodia, and sometimes Indonesia, I take pride in my diverse upbringing as a third-culture kid. My passion for the Music Biz is rooted in my early interest in Japanese and Korean pop culture, through which I explored & analyzed the different ways fans consumed foreign content.

After I was given the chance to write for Pulp Live Magazine in the Philippines in the latter years of my High School career, I was inspired to learn more about the various roles involved in show-making, production, and being an artist.

My curiosity brought me to New York City, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Business. During my time in the States, I honed my interests in global marketing, brand development, expansion, and recognition, and more, and spent 10 months at PR & Comms firm Jaybird. I am now based out of my ibu kota Jakarta, Indonesia.

I have since been given the opportunity to be a content contributor for K-soul Magazine, and am working on producing a podcast with the K-soul team on current East Asian pop trends and the globalization of the K-pop industry. On the side, I love journaling, and coffee tasting, as well as curating my vibrant Instagram feed!

Feel free to e-mail me for any inquiries and requests, including writing samples, graphic design samples, or just to say hello! đź‘‹
